Have you seen the movie Boss Baby? If you haven’t, you should, especially if you have more than one child. And especially if you have children who are far apart in age, like my Baylor and my Brooklyn. We bought this movie on Black Friday because it was really cheap and Brooklyn kept telling us she wanted to watch “Baby Boss!” It’s our go-to movie in the car and, for now, it’s on repeat. I knew Brooklyn liked it, but was surprised when Baylor explained earlier this week that it was her favorite movie! I said, “Really? Of all the movies, Boss Baby is your favorite?” She exclaimed, “YES! We need to watch it together this week!”
I’ll never forget asking Trey when I photographed their engagement photos, “When did you know you were going to marry Lexie?” He replied, “A month after we started dating.” Well, that was in high school in the mind of a love-struck teenager. But as the years passed, that love-struck teenage heart turned into a heart of commitment. Trey and Lexie both had been making plans for their future together. Well, this day was the celebration of all those years making plans. It truly was beautiful. Many family and friends joined together to celebrate Trey and Lexie making a covenant to each and to God. Everyone had a great time just being together!
Is it really time to go back to school? I feel like it’s still the end of May and we are just preparing for summer! It’s been a while since I’ve been here. The absence has meant that life has been full. Our family has traveled to Albuquerque, Austin, Abilene, Brownwood, back to Austin, Belton, back to Abilene, Lubbock, San Antonio, and then to Artesia, New Mexico! Here are some fun/not-so-fun highlights from our summer adventures!
