There is something special about young love. Megan and Bryan had grown up together in the same church. Playing with each other on the church playground and spending summers at Vacation Bible School, I’m sure they had no idea what God had in store for their future together. As the entered junior high and high school their affection was starting to bloom. That affection turned into love. Even with the short amount of time I spent with them, I could tell they adored each other. Their wedding was beautiful! The day went smoothly and most importantly, Megan and Bryan celebrated a great start to their marriage!
Brooklyn will turn 4-years-old on the 18th of April. She is the light of our household. She brings continual joy into our craziness. It’s hard to believe that we’ve lived many seasons of life without her. She is the perfect piece to our family puzzle! There are a couple of things most people don’t know about her. They are not secrets, but they’re things that I just haven’t thought to share.
This past week, the Panhandle endured a scorching wildfire. This time of the year, the dryness, the winds, and sparks are a vicious combination. Even though wildfires are nothing new to this region, they are always devastating. With this one 4 people lost their lives, ranches lost cattle and gained scorched land. This particular wildfire ended up spreading to Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado burning around 1 million acres. But what has risen out of the ashes is what The Panhandle Spirit is all about.
